gigi passed the aswb examEmail from Gigi, now licensed in three states (!):

I'm  licensed as a  LCSW in DC and MD.  I moved to California in June 2017 and discovered I had to jump through many hoops to get my CA license.  The final hoop was preparation for the Law and Ethics Exam.  I found serious study of NASW Code of Ethics, CA statutory law, case law and codes to be vital as I  prepared for the exam.   Experience of course figured in as well.  But it wasn't enough all by itself.  Combining what I had studied with practice questions was the key to success in the actual exam.  The application of knowledge in practical psychotherapy situations is what the exam is all about.  I passed on my first attempt.

Congratulations, Gigi! Great news!

No matter what state you're in, no matter which social work licensing exam you're taking, we're here to help. Like Gigi says, "the application of knowledge in practical psychotherapy situations" is what the ASWB is testing for. And that's exactly what SWTP practice tests prepare you to face.  Putting your existing and growing social work knowledge to use on multiple choice questions is like a muscle. The more working out you do, the stronger you get.
