The journey to LMSW licensure looks like this:
Complete a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Gain supervised professional experience as required by your state's licensing board. Work under the guidance of a licensed social worker or another qualified professional.
Pass the Association of ASWB Master's level licensing exam (we'll help!).
Submit your application for LMSW licensure to the appropriate licensing board, including all necessary documentation such as transcripts, supervised experience verification, examination scores, and any other required materials.
