dsm-5 eats dsm-IV Change is coming. The DSM-IV-TR is about to make its exit and be consumed by its big purple cousin, DSM-5. On July 1st, ASWB exams will no longer include DSM-IV-TR questions. All diagnostic items will refer to the new manual. That means no more five axes. It means the introduction of autism spectrum disorder...of disruptive mood dysregulation disorder...of changes to PTSD criteria and to the bereavement exclusion to MDD. More to come in this space about the details to help you as you prep. In the meantime, Psych Central's DSM-5 Resource Guide and our collection of DSM-5 resources on Pinterest are great places to get started.

Happy studying and good luck on the exam!
